Frequently asked questions

What is the recommended way to use SecureShare?

Start in Photos, tap Share, choose SecureShare, then pick your destination app from the share sheet that appears after cleaning. See the Help guide for the full workflow.

Does SecureShare upload my media?

No. SecureShare does not upload your media to MagiLand servers. Cleaning happens locally on your device.

Why does iOS sometimes download from iCloud?

If selected media is stored only in iCloud, iOS may download it to your device before SecureShare can clean it. This is handled by Apple system frameworks.

Are my original photos or videos changed?

No. SecureShare preserves originals and creates cleaned copies for sharing or saving.

Can SecureShare remove visible information inside an image?

No. SecureShare removes metadata. It does not blur faces, license plates, documents, screens, cards, or other visible details.

Troubleshooting

  • If iCloud media takes time to load, keep SecureShare open and your device connected to a reliable network while iOS downloads the selected item.
  • If a video fails to clean, try a shorter clip first. If it still fails, contact support with the media type and clip length.
  • If saving fails, confirm SecureShare has permission to add items to your Photos library.
  • If sharing fails, try saving a cleaned copy first, then share that copy from Photos.
